"האחרון מאיתנו חלק II" או בשמו המוכר יותר "The Last of Us: Part 2" הוא הזוכה הגדול של טקס פרסי משחק השנה לשנת 2020 (The Game Awards 2020), טקס שהתרחש ללא תקלות כלל, לעומת שנים קודם. Final Fantasy VII Remake. משחק ההמשך המוערך של Naughty Dog קטף את פרס המשחק הטוב ביותר לשנת 2020, משחק האקשן / ההרפתקה הטוב ביותר, הנרטיב הטוב ביותר ופרס החדשנות בנגישות. פרס נוסף הגיע לשחקנית לורה ביילי שזכתה בביצועים הטובים ביותר (דיבוב) על גילומה של אבי.
עוד משחקים שראויים לציון הם Ghost of Tsushima שהיה אחד המועמדים המובילים לתואר משחק השנה, אך זכה בקטגוריית עיצוב אמנותי.
